Search Engine Watch editor Danny Sullivan's Keynote speech yesterday was entitled "Search Wars."
The Death Star in the Search Wars was none other than the reigning search champion Google, with the Rebel Forces of Yahoo and other engines now entering the scene.

Jarboe learned that the Yahoo! Slurp bot doesn't follow links as closely as the Google bot. Instead, Slurp pays more attention to on page factors such as keywords and title tags to determine a site's relevance.

Could the future of search include Google brain implants? Possibly, according to Google representative Craig Silverstein. A few years ago Silverstein gave a speech on how search engines will become ubiquitous. He predicted users would be able to talk to engines and the engines would talk back. Now, he says, that prediction closely resembles what we are seeing in today's world of search.
